twilight....

TWILIGHT

yes..yes..i'm one of the fans of this twilight saga. My friends and I went for the movie on 28th nov. As i wasn't looking forward to the show, i went to watch without having much expectations of the movie. About 15mins before the show, two of my friends who had watched the earlier show came out with totally opposite reviews.

Jan said, "the movie is so boring, we almost slept.."

Isa said, " it's so nice.. you're going to love it.."

totally different punya reviews..

after watching, i was like...Wow, edward cullen is such a hot vampire and bella looks so sweet with edward..aww... next we headed straight to popular to grab the book..

THE BOOKS

so far i've only read twilight and new moon.. i'm actually reading the books with all the twilight movie punya cast on my mind.. i guessed it is nicer to read novels like that 'cos in this way, then baru we can imagine the way they talk to each other and the scenes that are set in the novel. i really enjoyed the the first book. 2nd book, chapters 1-3 was sad, chaps 4-15>not that onteresting, after that ok d... i'm waiting for my ordered 'eclipse' and 'breaking dawn'..gosh, i can't tahan d!!!

Significance of the title
i was really interested in finding out the significance of the book titles, so here are some of my findings frm the different websites..

Twilight
>stephenie meyer says this on her websight:
Twilight was not the easiest book to title. When I started sending out queries, I called it Forks for lack of a better idea. The first thing my agent advised me was that the title was going to have to change. We played around with a lot of different titles, and nothing seemed to convey the right feel. We brainstormed through emails for about a week. The word twilight was on a list of "words with atmosphere" that I sent her. Though these words were meant to be used in combination with something else, the word twilight stood out to both of us. We decided to try it out, and, after a little adjustment time, it started to work for both of us. It isn't absolutely perfect; to be honest, I don't think there is a perfect title for this book (or if there is, I've never heard it). When I look at the titles other countries have used (examples: Germany: Bis zum Morgengrauen which is "Until Dawn" or "Bite" if you add an "s" to make it "biss" (if you look at the German book cover on the Twilight International page); Finland: "Temptation;" France: "Fascination;" and Japan, which has split it into three separate books: "The Boy Whom I Love is a Vampire," "Blood Tastes Sadness," and "The Vampire Family in the Darkness."), it seems like I might be right about that. (Both New Moon and Eclipse were much easier to title, and the titles also fit better.)

> i really like this question she answered regarding the apple
What's with the apple?
The apple on the cover of Twilight represents "forbidden fruit." I used the scripture from Genesis (located just after the table of contents) because I loved the phrase "the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil." Isn't this exactly what Bella ends up with? A working knowledge of what good is, and what evil is. The nice thing about the apple is it has so many symbolic roots. You've got the apple in Snow White, one bite and you're frozen forever in a state of not-quite-death... Then you have Paris and the golden apple in Greek mythology—look how much trouble that started. Apples are quite the versatile fruit. In the end, I love the beautiful simplicity of the picture. To me it says: choice.

>most of them said that twilight is the safest time for vampires

New Moon
> from stephenie meyer's site
The term "new moon" refers to the phase of the moon opposite a full moon!. It is when the sun is on the opposite side of the moon from us and thus the bright side of the moon is not visible from earth!. This is the darkest kind of night!. New Moon is the darkest period of Bella's life! as for the ruffled tulip, even stephenie herself didn't know what it means!! it was up to the publisher and the marketing department...haha..

gosh..when's my copy of 'eclipse' coming??? i can't wait any longer...

Bowling outing...

About one week ago, simone took me for bowling. actually she has been asking me to go for a number of times already but i rejected her most of the times... so on that day. i followed her to penang bowl( it's located next to e&o hotel-i think) together with jocelyn. according to simone, penang bowl is the cheapest place in pg for bowling. after eating dinner there, the three of us statrted playing. as this was my first bowling game, i had no idea how to bowl. so i watched the two 'pros' played first..when it was my turn, my ball went into the longkang..lol...

when it was my turn again, simone said "bend your knees when you bowl" . well, i practically walked to the line, stopped, bent my knees and bowled..still masuk longkang..simone n joce burst into laughter..she added "start bending your knees when you're about to stop. not stop baru bend you knees" another funny incident- instead of throwing the ball towards the bowling alley, i threw the ball backwards accidentally. the ball dropped on the floor and i sensed that everyone was looking at me.. gosh, so malu!! both of them had a good laugh again...

later, nicole, florence and her bro joined us..throws after throws, i finally managed to do a few strikes and spares..each time i managed to do it, i jumped like a mad monkey..hahaha!! out of the 3 games, surprisingly i got the highest points..next, we proceeded to northam cafe for supper and then balik d....

it was really a very fun trip.. i thought i would never play bowling in my life but i DID IT!! thanks to simone for exposing me to such a fun game..

#for those of you who have never played bowling before, you should try it...

p.s. do let me know if you people planning for any bowling outings k?

days without revision books

it has been 20days, 4hours, 56mins and ? seconds(can't count dat..) not having to be near to revision books... these 20 days have been really GREAT!! most importantly, keeping my eyes off sejarah text books(i don't even remember where i put the books..who cares? )

Among the activities that i've done so far
